About Sang Y. Kim, RD
Growing up I was raised mostly by my beloved grandmother who happened to wear dentures. At first, I didn't understand why she would leave her dentures out most of the time. It shocked me when I first saw her eating without any teeth during one dinner. She often shied away from meeting people and smiling broadly in front of others in public.
When Platinum Denture Clinic first opened its doors to the community, I made a commitment to myself to focus on two key things: Comfort & Esthetics.
I continue to take pride in using the very best materials and techniques available so that I can offer patients something better than a standard denture. With the aid of implants, a removable prosthesis can truly be perfected to make you feel almost like you have healthy natural teeth.

Having new teeth takes a lot of adjusting. Everything from eating to speaking will feel totally different. Most patients take a few weeks to feel comfortable with their new dentures. Just take things one day at a time and you’ll be used to your new dentures in no time.
One of the biggest issues will be accidentally biting your tongue or cheeks. Remember to take it slow with dentures. Practice speaking in front of a mirror, make meals with soft foods to get accustomed to chewing, and remember to keep wearing them. If you take out your dentures because they are uncomfortable, you may never get used to them.
